Brandywine Living at Litchfield is proud to present Bluegrass & Bourbon, a distinguished bourbon tasting event featuring local blue grass talent and delectable, chef-prepared appetizers on the beautiful back patio of the Brandywine community.
Attendees will be able to enjoy Brandywine's signature "old fashion" cocktails, made with Litchfield Distillery’s unique bourbon, while enjoying the sounds of Bend in the River. Door prizes and drawings will top off the evening. Proceeds will be donated to the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Auxiliary. This free networking event is open to the public and will take place from 5:30-7:30 pm on Wednesday, August 7th, 2019.
The Litchfield Distillery, the newest micro-distillery, nestled in the Litchfield Hills is owned by Jack and David Baker. These entrepreneurial brothers call themselves the Batchers in honor of the early farmers of the Northwest corner of CT, a region that became known for its ample yield of wheat, corn, and barley. Their mission is to produce exceptionally distilled spirits, handcrafted from the highest quality, regionally harvested grains.
Bend In The River features two young, up-and-coming bluegrass pickers playing both traditional and new bluegrass music. The harmony of siblings, Clara and Evan Guillmette, complete with Clara's crisp, rolling banjo and Evan's rhythm guitar, combined with the solid bass of David Casali, makes audiences want to stop and listen to this dynamic trio!
