In face of the devastating predictions about climate change, it is easy to fall into comfortable despair and hand wringing.  The speakers for the 39th Annual E. F. Schumacher Lectures have not.  They act without regrets.

Sallie Calhoun works towards renewed soil health through a combination of practice at Paicines Ranch, education for a new generation of farmers, investment in carbon sequestration, and a #noregrets approach to philanthropy.

Inspired by the work of Buckminster Fuller, Greg Watson is a leading thinker and activist who has worked in both public and private capacities to create community food systems, renewable energy initiatives, and citizen- designed development programs.

They will speak from their respective experiences on “Actionable Responses to Climate Change.”
