LITCHFIELD — Get ready for an afternoon of puzzle solving unlike anything you’ve done before! The Litchfield Historical Society invites the community to participate in The Great Litchfield Challenge: A Puzzle 300 Years in the Making on Saturday, June 1, from 12 to 4 p.m.

The Challenge will begin in the Tapping Reeve Meadow, but soon you and your team will be off and driving to every corner of the town as you complete challenges, earn clues, and uncover the history of Litchfield. Games, music, and refreshments for competitors and spectators will be waiting at Tapping Reeve Meadow for when the challenge has been completed.

The Challenge is $50 per team. Teams are limited to one car-load and must have at least one team member with a driver’s license. Registration is required. For more information or to register, please visit www.litchfieldhistorical

society.org, email registration@litchfieldhistoricalsociety.org, or call (860) 567-4501. Space is limited, so register by May 24.

The Tapping Reeve Meadow is located behind the Tapping Reeve House and Law School, at 82 South Street, Litchfield. The event will be held rain or shine.

The Litchfield Historical Society receives no funding from the town. In an effort to better serve our community, the Litchfield History Museum and the Tapping Reeve House & Law School offer free admission for all, sponsored by Ericson Insurance Advisors. Participate in our shared history.
