The White Horse Pub donates to Connecticut Food Bank

The White Horse Country Pub & Restaurant on route 202 in New Preston, donated $4,000 to the Connecticut Food Bank, this was the proceeds from the sale of their unique Christmas Ornament, crafted by Woodbury Pewter. The ornaments were $20 each and 100 percent of that amount went to the Connecticut Food Bank, this represents 12,000 meals. The White Horse has donated over 75,000 meals in the last few years. One in six children and one in eight adults are food challenged in Connecticut. Here is the presentation of the check by John Harris, owner, to Bernie Beaudreau, CEO of the food bank, and Cheryl Thompson, philanthropy director.
