LITCHFIELD — Wisdom House Retreat and Conference Center is offering “Cooking with Wisdom Retreat – Stocks, Soups & Sauces” on Friday, March 12 (light supper at 6 p.m.), to Saturday, March 13 (with dinner). Food director Margaret Jacobs will present the program with overnight and commuter registrations available.
For participants, the event offers a candlelit Labyrinth Walk, omelet breakfast, yoga, and a nutrition talk, along with the creation and preparation of a meal for consumption. Also, an appetizer of naan and vegetables with dips will be offered, as well as an opportunity to make house air fresheners.
All recipes for the fare prepared will be given to participants, with time for questions and conversation. The cost is $255 for a single room with a bath or $150 for those who commute. There is a limit of eight participants for the class.
