TORRINGTON — The Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Auxiliary is featuring the artwork of Nancy Lundberg Vigeant now through early July 2019 in the hospital’s main lobby hallway, 540 Litchfield Street, Torrington. The public is invited to view and buy the works during regular visiting hours as part of the Auxiliary’s ongoing “Artist of the Month” program. A portion of the proceeds from sales of the artwork support the CHH Auxiliary and Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.

Nancy is a lifelong resident of Thomaston. After focusing on family and career most of her life, she picked up a paintbrush in 2014 and began her artistic journey as a self-taught artist. Nancy works in oils on canvas, finding inspiration for her work from nature, architecture and history.

Nancy’s recent collections are based on themes, such as Litchfield, Maine and Sweden. She creates four paintings within each theme. Collections currently in progress include Farm Animals and Flag Day 1916. The artwork she has on display at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital are professionally reproduced prints of her original oil paintings.

The Auxiliary’s “Artist of the Month” program has been featuring paintings, photographs, and artwork each month from local artists for over 25 years. Their over 200 member supporters assist in raising money for the hospital through dues, donations, volunteering at the gift shop, and a variety of events including an annual fashion show.
