SHARON — Sharon Playhouse in Sharon, under the management of Artistic Director Alan M-L Wager and Managing Director Robert Levinstein, announces the casting and creative teams for its 2019 60th Anniversary mainstage summer season.

The playhouse will continue the tradition of mixing talent from Broadway and television, from New York to Los Angeles, as well as locals from the Litchfield/Dutchess county region. As Wager says, “There is a wealth of talented performers in this community that have gone untapped in the past few years and we are very excited to get them back on stage at the Playhouse.”

The Playhouse will also offer another full Children’s Theatre program under the direction of Julianna Babb and Michael K. Baldwin which culminates in performances on the Sharon Playhouse mainstage with two different sessions, “Disney’s Beauty and The Beast, Jr.” (July 27 and 28) and “Disney’s Aladdin, Kids” (August 17 and 18).

In addition to the four main stage productions and Children’s Theatre offerings, plans are under way to bring special events, concerts, cabarets and staged readings to the Bok Gallery, the other performance space at the Playhouse.
