FALLS VILLAGE — The David M. Hunt Library will host its 18th Annual Auction in the Village from 5-8 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Center on Main in Falls Village.
A silent auction will take place from 5-7 p.m., and a live auction with auctioneer Dave Barger will start at 7:15 p.m. The food will be provided by Ciesco Catering Company, and wine, beer, cider, and sparkling water will be served.
The silent auction will include local restaurant gift certificates, accessories for the home and garden, theater passes, museum tickets, wines and liquors, books and artwork by Danielle Mailer, John Atchley, Sarah Martinez, and Ken Musselman. Items for the home include a three-piece Indian oxcart furniture set consisting of a loveseat sofa and two chairs, a rustic twig table and chair set, and a Cuisinart stainless-steel 3.5-quart crock pot. Other items include 1-day passes to Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Stockbridge, MA including meals and yoga sessions.
The live auction items include a 2020 full-season pass at Lime Rock Park, a dinner for four at The Falls Village Inn, a full day pontoon boat rental from O’Hara’s Landing on Twin Lakes, a stay in an Upper West Side apartment near Lincoln Center in New York City, and a stone planter by Steve Fitch.
The 18th Annual Auction in the Village is made possible by support of underwriter Century Aggregates and sponsors National Iron Bank, Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation, Torrington Savings Bank, Elyse Harney Real Estate, Union Savings Bank, Skyhorse Publishing, Churchill Building Company, Jacobs Garage, Music Mountain, Salisbury Bank, Great Falls Brewing Company, Decker and Beebe, 100 Main Street, and The Falls Village Inn.
The auction is the library’s major fundraiser, responsible for 15 percent of its annual operating budget. Tickets are $40 in advance; $50 at the door on the day of the event.
