KENT — As of 5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, the Kent Memorial Library will close until further notice. Staff will be available by phone and/or email from 10 a.m to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m to 4 p.m.
The Library will continue curbside service for checkouts. Patrons may continue to use online services like hoopla, Overdrive, RBDigital Streaming with your Library card. All other online resources are available and if you should have any questions, please feel free to call the Library at the hours mentioned above. The Library’s busy virtual program schedule with both live and recorded events will also continue. The book drop will remain open. And outside of the Library, the wifi is extremely strong.
The Library’s Board of Directors’ are using the guidance provided by the State of Connecticut (https://portal.ct.gov/Coronavirus/COVID-19-Data-Tracker) that puts Kent in “red.” Kent’s cases have doubled in the past week. Once the town goes back to orange or yellow KML will reopen the building to patrons, continuing with the appointment system.
